Grand strategy games with map painting mechanics, so mostly Paradox games. A gallery of screen captures I took in the time I've played. Some maybe cool, kind of funny or even oddly cursed.

Played Muscovy->Russia in the EU4 1.34 patch. Allied with Habsburg to fight Ottomans but soon got pulled into religious war

I played this campaign from around 13 July up until like two weeks ago from writing this.
I've already played this mod when it was released as Italia back then and had some fun before. This time, I played Hararite located near the Horn of Africa. There was an update here and I never play this region anyway so I gave it a try. Also they had a mission tree so yeah. Took a while to expand because I was afraid of Aegyptos lol. I took some time expanding north because the mission tree stated that I could culture convert the provinces in the Indian Subcontinent if it had the state religion.
Oh speaking of religion, in this mod there's only "Islamic". I can't critisice too much on it not having the sunni/shia and other sects since yknow, alternate timeline shenanigans but like, in Aceh there's a great project that is literally a mosque but you can't benefit from it. The Islamic faith didn't spread as much as in the current timeline so it is understandable that these provinces in South East Asia are not islamic but IT'S LITERALLY A MOSQUE HERE.
Can't use this Mosque despite being Islamic because the requirements were changed. Hopefully they'll add an event that changes this. Maybe a mission that allows it to be built or something of the sort.
Eventually the country name changed to Munifara. I don't know how they get these names so I'm not really picky about it. Still cool regardless. One day I'll add a timelapse webm or gif of this region. But I went conquering provinces mostly around this area. Taking India was a breeze because it was a bit disunited. Also mission tree gave claims to the whole subcontinent so did not have to do any spynetwork. Kilwa was an early ally but soon kept allying countries I needed to kill so yeah. Haven't finished them off yet still but does not matter.
I also colonized Australia and South East Asia. Alot of nations there are trade protectorates because I got too lazy to conquer so I just LARP'ed LOL. I have high trade power from Hangzhou to Cape and Alexandria (Egypt), so trade income was okay. There is a decision to make the provinces in India as a large trade company subject nation but I remember an old game of mine it was weird and didn't bother doing it again haha.
Persia was such a nuisance though. They slowly crept into the Arabian Peninsula while I was still weak. Hence the invasion into India to get more powerful. And of course another reason I did not want to care about SEA anymore was the boat situation. Lazy. Nuff said.
I had pretty fun here. Rome was a bitch to fight though, somehow got united fairly early. I think there was a Lucky nation there so that's why. Was sooo hard to fight their armies and for like small land grabs near Carthage and Phonecia.
